The My16M Mk VII

The My16M Mk VII is the first of the 7 series. Most of the previous versions had minor refinements in layout. The Mk III was significant as it added the internal voltage booster to protect against the massive dip in battery voltage when the starter button is pressed. The Mk VII is another significant step forward.

Features of the 7 series include

• Faster micro - the speed of the chip has been doubled from 8 Mhz to 16 Mhz
• Mostly surface mounted components for increased robustness.
• A 6 pin header for firmaware updates - directly connect to the USB programmer with no special cable required
• Automotive grade FETs for coil and injector drivers
• Still available as a kit. Construction using SMD is not significantly harder than before
