Current focus and Progress

The goal of this project is to solve the problems I am having with the Weber Marelli ECU fitted to my Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 Corsa. These problems fall into three areas -

1) Third party dependence
2) System performance
3) Configurability

The aim of the project is an ECU that has completely made by me and addresses all of the problems outlined above.
The project can be roughly divided into the following sub projects.

1) Reverse Engineering
2) Software
3) Hardware

Help needed in these areas

Sourcing the connector used on the Weber Marelli ECU is looking difficult and expensive. Anyone know of a source of the connectors or of dead ECUs.
